One chapter doesn't tell the whole story.
Let's make sense of yours.
A Little About Me
I've worked with teens who had been labelled difficult long before anyone understood what they'd been through.
I've supported people rebuilding after addiction, navigating serious mental illness, healing from trauma, and trying to move forward after difficult chapters in their lives.
Those experiences have shaped the way I see people. They remind me every day that understanding someone is often the first step toward meaningful change.
That's the perspective I bring into every session.
What I Believe
One chapter doesn't tell the whole story.
People deserve to be understood before they are judged.
Our experiences shape us, but they don't tell us everything about who we are.
Understanding the "why" behind our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours creates space for change.
The ways we learn to cope often make sense in the context of what we've lived through. Therapy can help us understand those patterns and build healthier ones when they're no longer serving us.

Every story is different.
No two people arrive at therapy for the same reasons.
These are some of the areas I commonly support. If your experience isn't listed, that doesn't mean we can't work through it together.
-
Trauma doesn't always look the way people expect it to.
Sometimes it's one significant event.
Sometimes it's years of feeling unsafe, misunderstood, or carrying experiences that still affect you today.
-
I've always been drawn to working with teens and young adults because these years can be some of the most confusing, overwhelming, and important.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationships, school, family conflict, trauma, or simply trying to make sense of life, therapy provides space to better understand yourself and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
-
Substance use is rarely just about substances.
Often, it's connected to pain, stress, trauma, loss, or trying to cope in the best way you knew how at the time.
-
Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect it to.
Some changes are exciting. Others arrive without warning.
Big changes often bring uncertainty, even when they're the right changes. Therapy can provide space to slow down, sort through what's happening, and decide what comes next.
-
Sometimes one mistake, one difficult chapter, or one decision changes the way other people see you.
I don't believe it has to define the rest of your story.
I've worked alongside people navigating the justice system who were trying to rebuild relationships, understand themselves, and move forward in meaningful ways.
Therapy isn't about pretending the past didn't happen.
It's about understanding it, learning from it, and deciding what comes next.
